We are pleased to report that one of our clients has received a patent on their invention for a methane well safety valve system. The patented invention is designed to protect workers at wellheads from accidental fires and explosions, among other things. If the methane level exceeds a predetermined threshold level the wellhead is automatically sealed and workers protected from explosion and fire hazards. This added measure of protection for workers in the oil/gas industry will hopefully reduce accidents and improve productivity by reducing safety related shut downs.
